Treat your guests to a beautiful trip along the shores of Minnesota and Wisconsin on the Scenic St. Croix River. The professional, courteous staff and crew of our vessels will accommodate all of your needs. Catering is prepared from the kitchen of the Afton House Inn restaurant. Dinner is served buffet style. Full bar service available for your social time. Sit-down dinner arrangements are available for Grand Duchess boat only. Enjoy our excellent cruise menus.

Built in Freeport Florida, the Afton Princess is an elegant 80′ cruiser with full bar, impressive climate controlled interior and 2nd level ideal for ceremonies or casual set up for up to 60-80 guests.

The Grand Duchess is a 305 passenger mini ship with a seating capacity of 300 guests. Enjoy 2 climate controlled levels for dining and 2 outside levels for socializing and beautiful views of the St. Croix River. Enjoy a full bar and dance floor on the 2nd level.

Private Charters and Wedding Policies

  • A non-refundable deposit of charter fee due at the time of booking a date to confirm the vessel.

  • A non-refundable Food Deposit will be $10.00/person times the estimated group size due at the time of booking.

  • The Food Minimum on Sunday-Friday is $17.95 per person. The Food Minimum on Saturdays is $19.95 per person.

  • Bar Required. (Children 5 and under will have a $3.00 discount from the main entree selections. This does not apply to hors d’oeuvre selections.)

  • Food ordered buffet style and priced per person is not allowed to be removed from the boat.

  • Catering contract must be signed at the time of booking to confirm your event date.

  • All food & estimated liquor will be pre-paid in full 10 days prior to the charter date (including State tax & service charge-not a gratuity).

  • Guarantee Count must be given 10 days prior to the function date.

  • If Gaurantee is not called in, the group size will become your guarantee. You will be charged for this guarantee or the actual number of guests, whichever number is greater.

  • If your guaranteed count is larger than your estimated pre-pay count, the new balance will need to be paid prior to your function.

  • If your guarantee count is less than your pre-paid estimate you will be reimbursed within 7 – 10 days of your function.

  • Any outstanding balance will be charged to the credit card listed at the bottom of the form.

  • Members of wedding parties are allowed to board 15 minutes early for set-up. (1/2 hour prior to the scheduled cruise time.) Extra time can be scheduled in advance for an additional fee. (See “Optional Charges” below.)

  • All guests must leave the boat when the boat docks. We can plan to dock 15 minutes early if you wish to stay on board at the dock for those few moments.

  • Use of Wireless Microphone for events. N/C

  • Floral Decorating & Set up – $150.00/hour, if available(maximum 2 hours (includes band/DJ set up)

  • Linen Tablecloths on the Afton Princess & Grand Duchess – see event packet for cost
